1 Million Pairs of Laces Sold
2018 was the best yet for Xpand thanks to many milestone achievements, charitable partnerships, and of course, the successful launch of our new product - the Quick-Release Lacing System. All of this was made possible because of the ever growing support of our customers and for that we are very grateful.
A major accomplishment came this past year as Xpand sold more than 1 million pairs of laces. Our ever-growing global reach has allowed us to help comfort and convenience seekers around the world, and it’s been amazing to hear from our loyal customers – whichever country they are from – about how the way they wear shoes has changed forever!
Xpand Partners with First Book Canada Charity
Xpand was honored to partner with First Book Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing children equal access to quality education. Over the course of the campaign, we helped raise more than $20,000!
Public figures and celebrities were quick to support the fantastic cause. Personalities such as Ellen DeGeneres, Olympic gold medalist Donovan Bailey, the 6Dad Norm Kelly and former-NBA player Jared Sullinger all got behind the message and spread the word through their social media channels.
Quick-Release Lacing System Hits the Market
Launched in April, the Kickstarter campaign for our new Quick-Release Lacing System was an overwhelming success. The campaign surpassed our initial goal of $8,500 to raise more than $400,000 from 10,930 backers!
Xpand’s Quick-Release Lacing System is now available on our online store.
Xpand Pop-Up Shops in Toronto
Last year, we took our two no-tie lacing systems straight to the people with the opening of not one, but TWO pop-up shops! Locals and tourists poured into our first store on the world-famous Queen Street West in Toronto, before having an opportunity to try on Xpand laces at one of the city’s most popular schools, Ryerson University. We received incredible feedback from those who stopped by, and can’t wait to get back out there to eliminate tying laces forever.
And who knows, maybe Xpand will appear in store near you in 2019!
